Zambia: PF Govt Out to Improve Education Sector

Monday, February 13, 2012
ZAMBIA's education sector is facing a serious crisis which calls for innovative ideas and a pragmatic approach from Government and all the boffins currently engaged in research in this field to ensure our country does not lag behind other nations. Government is a major stakeholder in the provision of primary, secondary and tertiary education and ought to be seen to be playing the lead role in ensuring that acceptable standards are maintained in learning institutions. Private sector investment, though welcome, has to be viewed as complementary to the role which Government plays in the provision of this vital service.
