SA to prioritise ICT at tertiary institutions

A strategy of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) expansion for Higher learning institutions in South Africa has been proposed at the recent annual Southern African ICT for education summit that was held in Zimbabwe last week. Speaking to the SABC this morning, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Hlengiwe Mkhize discussed the department’s plans to increase ICT usage across South Africa’s tertiary education institutions. Accessibility to ICT for research has become a major factor in shaping the progress of various tertiary institutions.
